For a long time, self-expression felt dangerous to me.
Not uncomfortable.
Dangerous.
Growing up, I went through social abuse that, at times, became physically threatening. There were moments where being seen, being heard, or simply existing in the wrong place made me a target.
One of those moments involved kids holding me down while other kids threw rocks at me.
I learned something then.
Not consciously, but deeply:
“Expression has a cost. Visibility is terryfing.”
The business I built around staying unseen
So for years, I built around that belief.
I chose business models where I did not have to be visible.
Partnerships.
Inbound only.
No real publishing.
No consistent public voice.
No unnecessary attention.
And for a while, that worked.
But it also cost me something. Holding on the same and guilt that wasn't mine to carry.
Because when you do not express yourself, you also limit your reach, your leadership, and your ability to serve the people who need what you carry.
Why course creators matter to me
Self expression was so difficult to me, that I turned it to my life's mission So I turned the thing I struggled with most into part of my life’s mission:
To make sure that everyone with a gift, a voice, and a desire to help other people has the strategy, structure, and system to bring it into the world.
This is part of why I love working with course creators.
Not the people who are only chasing the knowledge-commerce gold rush.
Not the ones who want to throw AI content into a funnel, outsource the entire thing, and turn someone else’s pain point into a cash machine.
I mean the real ones.
The people with skill.
The people with lived experience.
The people with a gift, a framework, a method, a perspective, or a body of work that can genuinely help others.
The people who care about the strategy because they care about the outcome.
The people who want to build something aligned, useful, scalable, and true.
A course is more than a product
Because every time one of those people launches a course, it feels like more than a launch.
It feels like someone found a way to distribute their voice.
It feels like a body of knowledge became accessible.
It feels like a private gift became a public asset.
And for me, personally, there is something deeply meaningful about that.
Because I know what it feels like to believe your voice is risky.
And I also know what it feels like to build the system that finally lets it move.
This is the work
That is why I like working with course creators.
Not because courses are trending.
Because when done properly, a course is not just content.
It is a vehicle for expression.
A vehicle for change.
A vehicle for someone’s hard-earned wisdom to reach the people it was meant to help.
If you are a course creator and you need help distributing your voice, building your strategy, and creating a system that supports your skill, growth, and values, get in touch.
I am here for that work.
